Malaysia Airlines bids farewell to 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Raja Permaisuri Agong

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 30 — Malaysia Airlines has conveyed its heartfelt tribute to His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Alhaj and Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah who ended their reign as Malaysia’s 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Raja Permaisuri Agong today.

In its post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the national carrier said Al-Sultan Abdullah’s reign as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong has been marked by wisdom and grace, leaving an indelible legacy of leadership.

“Malaysia Aviation Group wishes continued blessings to Tuanku in all endeavours,” it said

Al-Sultan Abdullah took the oath of office on January 31, 2019, and will be replaced by the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar who will begin his five-year reign as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong starting tomorrow.
