HULU SELANGOR, Feb 24 — Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah presented contributions to orphans at Masjid Jamek Ar-Rahimah Kuala Kubu Bharu yesterday, as part of the Gagasan Rumpun Selangor tour for the Hulu Selangor district.
The RM16,500 donation was allocated by the state executive councillor for rural development and unity Datuk Rizam Ismail, Orang Besar Daerah Hulu Selangor Datuk Muzaffar Raja Redzwa, and the Hulu Selangor District and Land Office for 55 orphans, with each receiving RM300.
His Highness also presented contributions for home repairs and medical expenses from the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) to four asnaf (tithe recipients) and to Surau Al-Khairiah Jalan Adenium 4.
In addition, Tengku Amir Shah presented cash contributions 10 mosques and suraus around Hulu Selangor to refurbish these places of worship.
The mosques and suraus which received the contributions include Masjid Jamek Ar-Rahimah Kuala Kubu Bharu, Surau Raudhatul Ulum Ad-Diniah at Padang Golf, Surau As-Sakinah Taman Damai Utama, and Surau Jami’yyah Padang Tembak.
Others include Surau Kampung Paya Dalam, Surau Saqdatus Salam in Taman Bukit Bujang, Surau Al-Hidayah Ampang Pechah, Surau Ad-Diniah Taman Arif, Surau Nurul Iman in Taman Seruling, and Musolla Al-Hidayah of the Camp Erskine’s Fourth Infantry Division’s Royal Signals Regiment.
After presenting the contributions, His Highness carried out Friday prayers at the mosque.
Tengku Amir’s presence is part of the three-day, two-night Gagasan Rumpun Selangor tour, which commenced on Wednesday (February 21).
