SHAH ALAM, March 3 — State executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Izham Hashim said the Kota Raja Madani Agriculture Carnival 2024 was an effort to help farmers market their products as well as for consumers to get quality goods.

“The state government always helps farmers cultivate crops, providing guidance, including marketing them, so that consumers receive the benefits.

“This year, we are focusing on quality crops such as pineapple, melon, and corn  as well as pineapples, the state government is increasing the production of quality seeds in an area of four hectares,” he said at the Kota Raja Madani Agriculture Carnival 2024 at Wisma Koperasi Warga Hijrah Selangor Bhd (Kohijrah), here today

Izham also said the inaugural carnival held for two days received a favourable response from the local residents with more than 2,000 visitors gathering at the carnival organised by Kohijrah and the Kota Raja state constituency in collaboration with the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board.

“Various exhibitions and sales of quality agricultural products are available to visitors with attractive price offers.

“The state government welcomes the efforts of these agencies including private parties who organize carnivals like this because consumers can get quality goods in addition to helping farmers market their products,” he said.
