Shah Alam Lake Park to be upgraded

SHAH ALAM, OCT 25: Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) is planning to upgrade Shah Alam Lake Park as an attraction and also for the convenience of visitors to the lake.
Shah Alam Mayor Dato’ Ahmad Zaharin Mohd Saad said that MBSA has prepared an allocation to bring new changes, as an initiative to attract more visitors.
“We made a site visit to the lake and are planning to add-on a few new requirements using the budget that we prepared for 2017.
“We also had a discussion with Perbadanan Adat Melayu dan Warisan (PADAT) and Tourism Selangor to get interesting ideas for cultural activities,” he said at Majlis Pelepasan Ikan Sempena Pertandingan Memancing Shah Alam 2016, on October 24.
He also added that it is the MBSA’s responsibility to provide a convenientt place for programmes attracting more tourists to Shah Alam.
“For cultural events and programmes, we can provide materials such as the stage; but for marketing purposes, we will need support from PADAT in providing a dance team..
“Meanwhile, Tourism Selangor has to encourage tourist visits via tourism agencies under Tourism Selangor to attend the events.” he said
