SHAH ALAM, NOV 2: “Selangor International Expo (SIE) 2016 has attracted a total of 10,689 visitors,” said Investment, Small & Medium Industries, Trade and Transport Exco Dato’ Teng Chang Khim.
He said that the number of visitors have increased and are double compared to SIE 2015 of 4,315.
“Out of 10,689 visitors this year, about 8,520 (79.7%) are ‘trade visitors’.
“Meanwhile the rest of the 2,169 visitors (21.3%) are civilians,” he said at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly on November 2.
He said this in an answer to a question by Batang Kali Assemblyman Datuk Mad Nadzari Ahmad Dahlan regarding SIE.
Teng also said that SIE plans to promote Selangor as a global trading hub.
“In addition, SIE acts as a platform for local and foreign companies, including small and medium enterprises, to display their products and services to the market and also to look for opportunities to venture to markets abroad.”
