Covid-19 cases in Hulu Langat rise, 1,685 residents screened

SHAH ALAM, April 6 — The Hulu Langat district has recorded 328 positive Covid-19 cases as of yesterday noon, compared to 314 cases on Saturday.

The Health Ministry (MOH) said the number of cases in Sungai Lui remained at 90 and 238 cases were recorded in other locations.

A total of 1,685 out of 1,797 individuals in the seven villages have been screened for Covid-19 during the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) period, which was enforced by the Federal government from March 30 to April 13.

Two other locations — Simpang Renggam in Johor and Menara One City Plaza in Kuala Lumpur — that were ordered under the enhanced order had also recorded new cases.

Simpang Renggam saw an increase of 12 cases, bringing the total to 147, while Menara One City Plaza recorded 24 new cases, with 1,893 of its residents screened for Covid-19.
