KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 — A total of RM36,488 was successfully raised through the Selangor Cyber Games (SCG) ‘stay-at-home’ online edition, which was held on April 8 and 9.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari had thanked the participants for their contribution through the e-sports tournament.

“Looking forward towards the SCG 2020 after we have successfully battle Covid-19,” he wrote in his official Twitter account today.

Amirudin also congratulated the winner of the Selangor Cyber Games for the e-sports title PUBG Mobile, NED Brotherhood.

The ‘stay-at-home’ online tournament was organised by the state government, through the collaboration between Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI) and event organiser IO Esports as well as the Selangor State Sports Council (MSNS), to encourage the people to remain at home throughout the movement control order (MCO).

The e-games offered a total cash prize of RM40,000 in its online edition with a minimum registration fee of RM10 imposed and donated to the Selangor Covid-19 Fund.
