Selangor Cyber Games ‘stay-at-home’ edition offers RM40,000 cash prize pool

SHAH ALAM, April 7 — The Selangor Cyber Games has announced its ‘stay-at-home’ online tournament for this year’s edition, which will be held on April 8 and 9.

In a statement today, the state government, through the collaboration between Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI) and event organiser IO Esports as well as the Selangor State Sports Council (MSNS), said the e-games offers a total cash prize of RM40,000 in its online edition.

Players can start registering now as there are limited slots available. A minimum registration fee of RM10 is imposed and will be donated to the Selangor Covid-19 Fund.

The best players across the country will compete over two esports titles, which are the PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

“The purpose of the tournament is to encourage the people to continue staying at home while donating the registration fee to the Covid-19 fund.

“For those who would like to donate more, are welcomed to do so,” the statement read, adding that each title is limited to 512 teams each.
