WELLINGTON, June 14 — The Ministry of Health reported no cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand on Sunday, 23 days since the last new case was reported in the country, China’s Xinhua news agency reported.

The combined number of confirmed and probable cases in New Zealand was 1,504, including 1,154 confirmed cases, which is the number reported to the World Health Organisation, said a ministry statement.

The death toll in New Zealand was 22, and the number of recovered cases was 1,482, the statement said.

New Zealand’s Ministry of Health formally released the NZ Covid Tracer app on May 20, and the app has now recorded 554,000 registrations. That’s an increase of 2,000 since Saturday.

The ministry continues to encourage all businesses and organizations to display the official QR code posters to provide New Zealanders with the opportunity to keep track of where they’ve been with the app, it added.

Laboratories nationwide have completed 2,487 tests on Saturday, bringing the total completed tests to date to 310,297.
