SHAH ALAM, Dec 12 — Police have verified that the news shared on social media on the enforcement of the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) in Selangor beginning today as fake.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin said the shared information is untrue and had called for the public to remain calm and not be influenced by it.

“The people are also urged against sharing or spreading unverified information.

“This would cause unease among the community and could threaten public order,” he said in a statement today.
