Smart Selangor buses make 15 trips daily to ferry MAEPS patients, workers

SHAH ALAM, Feb 1 — The Smart Selangor buses stationed at the Low-Risk Treatment Centre (PKRC) in Serdang would make at least 15 rounds daily to ferry Covid-19 patients and medical workers.

State executive councillor for public transportation Ng Sze Han said the buses frequency depends on the demand and the number of patients at the centre located at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS).

“Every day the buses will make 15 to 20 rounds depending on the situation. From that number, three to five rounds are to ferry positive patients, while the rest are to transport staff from PKRC to their accommodations,” he said to SelangorKini.

Ng said all drivers will go through a sanitisation process before picking up or delivering the patients or staff.

“When working hours end, the buses will be cleaned and undergo the same process at the RapidKL depot to ensure the safety of the drivers and passengers,” he said.

Last week, Ng announced ten Smart Selangor buses were provided for the purpose and are sanitised from time time.
