SHAH ALAM, March 14 — The free Covid-19 community screening by the state government will be held concurrently today at two separate locations in Shah Alam and Subang Jaya.
The initiative will be carried out from 9am to 4pm at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Seroja Hall in Section 27, here, as well as the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) multipurpose hall in USJ 7.
Residents in Section 27, Subang Perdana Goodyear Court and those from USJ 1 to USJ 17 are encouraged to participate in the programme in order to trace the infection within the community.
Registration can be done via the SELangkah mobile app or log on to screening.selangkah.my.
On February 20, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the mass screening operation will be continued in hotspot areas that have reported high number of positive Covid-19 cases, which include old folks’ homes.
He said the location of the testing operation will be based on data and discussion held between the state government and the district health offices.
The state administration had allocated a total of RM6 million to initiate the Covid-19 screening programme throughout the state, which aims to see 50,000 people in Selangor screened particularly those in highly populated areas as well as people from the low-income group.
