Covid-19: Daily infections dip below 20,000 mark, Selangor sees drop to 3,567

SHAH ALAM, Aug 30 — Malaysia’s daily Covid-19 cases have decreased below the 20,000 mark with 19,268 infections recorded today.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this has pushed the cumulative total in the country to 1,725,357.

As for Selangor, the state has seen a daily drop for the fourth consecutive day and registered 3,567 infections today, compared to the 4,591 cases reported yesterday.

Four states in the country recording cases within the 2,000 mark are namely Sabah with 2,310 infections, followed by Johor (2,265), Kedah (2,084), and Sarawak (2,028).

This is followed by Penang with 1,780 cases, Kelantan (1,308), and Perak (1,144).

States that have registered below 1,000 cases are Pahang with 788 cases, Kuala Lumpur (672), Terengganu (544), Melaka (395), Negeri Sembilan (269), Perlis (71), Putrajaya (41), and Labuan (2).
