By Zareef Muzammil

SHAH ALAM, Sept 28 — Selangorians should not miss the opportunity to apply for the Selangor Foundation Study Loan which closes on September 30.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said financial assistance is offered to students in public and private institutions of higher learning owned by the state government.

“This study loan offers a 50 per cent or 100 per cent repayment exemption for any children of Selangor who graduated with excellent results,” he wrote on Twitter yesterday.

Previously, Selangor Foundation announced that applications for the study loan are open to those who are currently studying or accepting offers of full-time study at the diploma or bachelor’s degree level.

The funding is only for Malaysian citizens and citizens of Selangor who meet the stipulated requirements.

Applications were opened on September 1, and can be made through the website www.yayasanselangor.org.my.

On April 29, Selangor Foundation collaborated with 18 public, private and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to implement various educational programmes in line with the Smart State Vision 2025.
