Selvax for teens visits three locations this week

SHAH ALAM, Oct 24 — The Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax) for Adolescents aged 12 and above will be visiting three locations between October 28 to 31.

The locations are at Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Ulu Chuchoh in Tanjung Sepat on October 28 and at Dewan Serbaguna Komuniti Blok G, Apartment Flora Damansara on October 30.

On October 31, it will visit the Dewan Kompleks Sukan Pandamaran, according to a poster shared by state executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud on Facebook.

The inoculation programme is open to locals and non-citizens alike specifically for participants who have not received the first dose or missed a second dose under Selvax.

People need to register early using the Selangkah app and then select the VAX button on the app and enter the correct voucher code.

The steps are as follow:

Select ‘Temujanji’
Select ‘Semak Temujanji ’
Select the purple box
Enter voucher code according to nearest vaccination centre (PPV) location
Select ‘Seterusnya’
Select the date

Selangor aims to inoculate about 10,000 teenagers under the programme which began yesterday at Dewan Serbaguna Pandamaran Jaya.

On October 7, Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari had announced that the Selvax programme will be expanded to teenagers, involving some 150,000 doses after being granted permission from the Health Ministry.

In June, the state government launched the Selvax Community and Industry initiatives to complete and expedite the vaccination process of state residents.

Costing over RM200 million and recognised by the Federal government, Selvax has been included in the overall framework of PICK, which is aimed at low-income groups, the elderly, and industry workers.
