More Taman Sri Muda flood victims evacuated

SHAH ALAM, Dec 20 — More flood victims in Taman Sri Muda in Section 25 have been evacuated using 30 boats from the General Operations Force (GOF) and Fire and Rescue Department, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the floodwaters have begun to recede to a depth of one to two metres, with some residents refusing to move out.

“The main focus at the moment is food supply,” Amirudin said on Twitter today.

He added the flood victims in Kampung Baru Hicom are being assisted by the Army 10th Brigade, and the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA).

“Thank you to Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah for bringing in the support from the Army,” Amirudin tweeted.
