Judge Norshila Kamaruddin also ordered Ooi Hang Sheng, 27, to be jailed for six months if he failed to pay the fine. The accused paid the fine.

Prior to sentencing, Norshila asked Ooi about the price of the Android TV Box sets and he replied: “I sell it between RM200 and RM300 each, and I did not know that was an offence. I promise I will not repeat it.”

The judge also advised him to stop selling such uncertified items.
