SHAH ALAM, Feb 25 — Water supply for 13 areas in Petaling, which were affected by repair works on electrical system failure at the pump house in Bukit Jelutong U8, Shah Alam this morning, have been fully recovered at 6pm, today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said alternative assistance through water tankers will continue to be mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises during the unscheduled water supply disruption.

“As of 6pm, the water supply recovery in the 41 affected areas has reached 32 per cent.

“Water supply in all affected areas is expected to fully recover at 9am tomorrow,” said Air Selangor in a statement on Facebook today.

Air Selangor said the water supply recovery period differs from one area to another according to the location and distance of consumers’ premises.

“Consumers who have received water supply to let water from the tap flow until it is clear before daily use,” said the water agency.

Earlier, Air Selangor said water supply to 41 affected areas in Petaling (13 areas) and Klang (28 areas) regions were temporarily disrupted to allow repair works that started at 9.30am today.
