Air Selangor: Repair works for leaking valve in Warta Lama, Jalan Kuching completed

SHAH ALAM, March 31 — The repair works for a leaking valve in Warta Lama, Jalan Kuching, were completed at 2am this morning, said the Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).

Its Corporate Communication head Elina Baseri said that the works scheduled to have been completed yesterday at 9pm were delayed due to heavy rain.

“Water supply has been distributed to the consumers’ premises in stages.

“The water supply recovery period differs from one area to another according to the location and distance of consumers’ premises,” the statement read.

On Tuesday, 144 areas in Gombak and Kuala Lumpur were hit by an unscheduled water supply disruption due to the leaking valve.

Elina said alternative assistance through water tankers would continue to be mobilised to the affected areas, prioritising critical premises during the unscheduled water supply disruption.

“Air Selangor is seeking the consumers’ cooperation to practise social distancing and wear face masks while collecting the water supply from the water tankers,” she said.
