Pekawanis to guide women entrepreneurs in generating income

SHAH ALAM, March 24 — The Selangor Women’s Welfare and Charity Organisation (Pekawanis) will conduct a reality programme organised for women entrepreneurs in minds.

Its president Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad said the programme is aimed at aiding them in generating income by organising various courses and guidance sessions.

“The programme is still being planned and we are looking for entrepreneurs at the state constituency level. They will be trained until they succeed with courses such as marketing.

“We will cooperate with Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah) and Platform Selangor (PLATS) to seek out young entrepreneurs who wish to advance their businesses. The winner of the programme will be crowned Pekawanis Entrepreneur Icon,” she said.

Masdiana was speaking at the appreciation ceremony for the Caring Initiative for Children of Frontliners, at the Menteri Besar’s official residence yesterday.

She added that Pekawanis will also continue its Ziarah Medik programme in each state constituency, in an effort to relieve the burden of patients in buying medication.

“Come this Ramadan, we will also organise bubur lambuk programmes, tadarus and Hari Raya Aidilfitri contributions,” Masdiana said.
