Accomplished putu piring seller becomes SAY Lead winner

SHAH ALAM, April 5 — Yusairi Hafiz Tajuddin, a putu piring seller who is also a disabled person (OKU) was selected as winner of the 3rd Edition of the Selangor Youth Community – Leaders, Entrepreneurship, Acceleration and Development (SAY Lead) Selangor OKU Entrepreneurship League last week.

The owner of the Putu Piring Warisan Nenek stall located at Medan Selera Pasar Moden Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya (MBSJ) brought home a trophy, certificate and a year’s guidance under the SAY Lead+ programme.

Yusairi who suffers from nerve damage on his right hand and leg started his stall with RM3,000 in capital and turned it into a business that generates RM30,000 monthly.

The league, which aims to promote youth businesses, is sponsored by the state government via the Selangor State Entrepreneur Development Standing Committee.

League winners are entitled to a year’s guidance to expand their business through access to new markets, business digitalisation and exports.

In a post on Facebook, SAY said the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah consented to be a jury member when deciding the programme’s winner.

His Highness also consented to pick another three winners — Faizul Ahmad Zaki (Cuci Karpet Bukit Beruntung) who also won the Anugerah Usahawan Harapan OKU, Nooraihan Che Li (BNG Homeware Hub) and A Linges Warry (Absolute Glam Global).
