MB breaks fast with Hulu Selangor residents, joins Quran recital

HULU SELANGOR, April 19 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari participated in an iftar meal together with over 300 department heads from various agencies and residents of the district at Masjid Nurul Iman in Serendah earlier this evening.

During the event, he spent an hour reciting verses from the Quran via Majlis Tadarus al-Quran Perdana Hulu Selangor.

The recital was also joined by 70 women reciters from Hulu Selangor as well as 30 students from Maahad Tahfiz Nurul Iman and Maahad Tahfiz Darul Huffaz.

The Menteri Besar also donated RM50,000 to 25 mosques located in the Batang Kali state constituency.

They include Masjid As Salam, Masjid Saidina Ali, Masjid Nurul Iman, Masjid Al Falah, Masjid Ar Rahimah and Masjid Kampung Gesir Tengah.

Other contributions include RM14,000 to the Batang Kali state constituency’s Village Community Management Council (MPKK) and Hari Raya Aidilfitri aid to 21 asnaf children from the area.
