SHAH ALAM, May 31 — Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI donated RM10,000 to Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan Semenyih 1 for its computer lab infrastructure repair works.

Its corporate social responsibility head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the symbolic handover took place yesterday during the launch of the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting.

“I was informed the room has not been used for a long time due to some infrastructure problems.

“Hopefully the students can use the computer lab again after this. We will return the revenue obtained by the state to the people,” he said in a Facebook post.

Ahmad Azri added the donation was channelled two weeks after the school applied for assistance.

This year, MBI has allocated an inaugural amount of RM1 million to be spent on programmes related to schools and students.

The allocation includes RM500,000 for infrastructure development while the remainder is for PTA programmes.
