SHAH ALAM, May 26 — Some 22 stalls involving entrepreneurs from all segments of the agricultural sector participated in the Jelajah Agro Selangor roadshow held at Central i-City.

State executive councillor for agriculture Izham Hashim said the roadshow involves sales booths, innovative technology exhibitions and agricultural products.

“Jelajah Agro Selangor is a mini programme of the Selangor Agro Fest and has almost the same goals, which include sharing advancements in the agricultural, livestock breeding and crops sectors.

“The aim of the roadshow is more focused on attracting the attention of youths and women to join agriculture as well as seek business networks among entrepreneurs, traders and consumers,” he said.

Izham added that asides from sharing agriculture-related technology, the sales booths that participated also offered special prices on their products to visitors.

“The sale prices offered during the roadshow are quite affordable compared to the market as the products come directly from the supplier, meant especially for consumers,” he said.

The state government via the Agriculture, Plantation and Agro-based Industry
Standing Committee organised Jelajah Agro Selangor for a four-day period starting today at Central i-City.

The programme, which runs from 10am to 10pm, will be continued in the districts of Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and Hulu Selangor later on.
