Selangor Saring applicants need to update SELangkah app to register

By Mustakim Ramli

SHAH ALAM, May 16 — Citizens in the state are urged to update their SELangkah mobile application to be able to register for the Selangor Screening programme (Selangor Saring).

SELangkah informed that registration for the programme has started today and it can only be done through the app and the selangorsaring.selangkah.my portal.

“Update the SELangkah app and click on Selangor Saring or visit the link selangorsaring.selangkah.my for more information,” said SELangkah on Facebook today.

Based on a review of the Selangor Saring option in the app, among the information that needed to be submitted are the name and residential address of the applicant.

Applicants are also required to answer a number of questions about their level of health including the history of illness suffered by family members.

“Users also need to upload a photo of themselves and their MyKad to receive confirmation.

“Once the confirmation is received, the applicant will be issued an online coupon, later they can choose the date and location to undergo the screening,” said SELangkah.

Among the eligibility requirements for the application are a Malaysian citizen, a registered voter in Selangor and born in Selangor or have resided in Selangor for more than 10 years.

During the tabling of the 2022 Selangor Budget last year, the state government allocated RM3.4 million for the Selangor Saring programme, which is a free health screening for state citizens.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the program is expected to benefit 39,000 Selangor people, especially those in the high-risk groups such as those having a family health history, overweight and living an unhealthy lifestyle.
