14 entrepreneurs in Hulu Langat receive business equipment assistance

HULU LANGAT, June 20 — A total of 14 entrepreneurs received business equipment assistance grants under the Selangor Micro Entrepreneurs Fund Grant (DUMS) for the Hulu Langat district here yesterday.

State executive councillor for entrepreneur development Rodziah Ismail said RM249,128 was allocated to provide the equipment grant to the recipients.

“Each recipient receives RM30,000 which is the maximum amount allocated for the equipment assistance to help increase their business productivity and ease their burden.

“I hope with this assistance, the entrepreneurs can develop their business and expand it online,” she said.

Rodziah said this in her speech after handing over the DUMS assistance at the Selangor Penyayang roadshow at Taman Kosas, Ampang here yesterday.

According to her, between RM2 million to RM2.5 million was allocated for the DUMS programme to provide business equipment assistance to micro-entrepreneurs within all nine districts in the state.

DUMS grants were introduced to help small traders in the state increase their sales revenue.

The eligibility requirements to apply for it are as follows:

– Selangor citizen/resident for more than 10 years
– Business is active for more than two years
– Annual sales not exceeding RM300,000
– Employs at least two to five workers
– Aged between 18 to 60 years old
– Registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia
– Conducting full or part-time business
