MBI donates computers to SMK Ideal Height

SELAYANG, June 22 —The Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI has donated five laptop units for the use of the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Ideal Height access centre, here, yesterday.

Its corporate social responsibility head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the contribution of the HP laptops worth RM6,000 was to facilitate the learning process of students, especially those from the low-income group (B40).

“We understand the urgent need for the school to have this facility and have expedited its distribution after receiving the application.

“It is hoped that this assistance will be fully utilised, especially by the students, so that they no longer need to go to the cyber centre to do their school assignments or homework,” he said when met yesterday.

The equipment was presented to the school Principal Zarina Mahmood and witnessed by Taman Templer state assemblyman Mohd Sany Hamzan.

Meanwhile, Mohd Sany said the school’s access centre needed the new equipment due to the slow performance of the existing computers, making it difficult for students.

“Congratulations to the school for its successful application to get new computers. I am grateful to MBI for helping the residents of Taman Templer.

“Insya Allah (God willing), we will look into the school’s other needs from time to time. It is hoped that this contribution will inject enthusiasm into the school to continue producing excellent students,” he said.
