People’s aid roadshow set for Hulu Langat on June 19

SHAH ALAM, June 3 — The Iltizam Selangor Penyayang (ISP) carnival roadshow to promote the people’s welfare initiatives has been rescheduled in Hulu Langat to June 19.

According to Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI, the programme involving 23 state subsidiaries will be held at Padang MPAJ in Taman Kosas from 7.30am to 5pm.

“The agency will announce the incentives provided for visitors. For example, Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad and Lembaga Perumahan Selangor will provide explainers on Rumah SelangorKu.

“Registration for all state initiatives will also be opened, including for Hijrah loans and assistance from Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor to make it easier for residents to apply,” said MBI.

In addition to publicising information on the initiatives, the programme will also see other various events including aerobics, a cooking competition, flower arrangement, sports, skateboarding, and e-sports.

ISP’s implementation ISP involves a RM350 million allocation to replace the Peduli Rakyat initiative so that more residents can derive from the benefits provided by the state government.

These include Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas) which replaces Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (Kiss) that is expected to help 30,000 families instead of 25,000 families before this.

Also to be implemented is the Selangor Saring programme to detect chronic ailments, with an expenditure of RM1.5 million which will benefit up to 5,000 people, particularly those in the high-risk categories.

The roadshow is also scheduled to be held in Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor, Petaling and Gombak.
