KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob had spent some time visiting the Selangor Pavilion at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2022 held at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), here yesterday.

He was accompanied by Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, Education Minister Dr Radzi Jidin and Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) director Datin Paduka Mastura Muhamad.

Mastura said the Prime Minister had also praised the initiative by PPAS to conduct 14 online foreign language classes with a fee of RM10 per hour.

“He asked why and how we conduct the initiative. I replied that if our people could master more languages, they would be more versatile.

“He seemed intrigued, especially when the fees were relatively cheap and professional tutors guided the class. I also suggested that he focus on this matter because mastering languages allows a person to go further,” she told Selangorkini.

Besides the Language Discovery@Selangor Public Library, Ismail Sabri also visited booths set up by other state government agencies, including the Selangor Technical Development Centre, Yayasan Selangor and Yayasan Hijrah Selangor.
