SHAH ALAM, June 1 — The Selangor International Exhibition (SIE) Food and Beverages (F&B) trade exhibition serves as a platform for businesses to market their halal-certified products.

Its director Norman Chow that with the certification, the consumers would not have to worry about the halal status of the Japanese sauces supplied by his company for the local market.

“SIE F&B programme organised by Invest Selangor Bhd (Invest Sealngor) has provided an opportunity for the entrepreneurs to explore the halal market.

“Therefore, Muslim consumers do not have to worry as all our products have been certified halal by Jakim,” he told SelangorKini when met at his booth set up at the SIE F&B Supermarket Buyers Programme at ST Rosyam Mart here, yesterday.

The SIE F&B Supermarket Buyers Programme is held at ST Rosyam Mart in Section 9, and Lulu Hypermarket in Setia City Mall, Shah Alam, for 10 days from May 27 until June 6, in conjunction with Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2022.

The sixth edition of SIBS 2022 will be held from October 6 to October 9 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Meanwhile, Yusa Food Products Sdn Bhd marketing executive Roslan Sabli said his company would introduce several products, including spicy crab sticks and seaweed snacks, at the SIE F&B exhibition hosted by Invest Selangor during SIBS 2022 in October.

“What makes our products different is that they are made from a special recipe to bring out that unique taste.

“We are ready for the upcoming expo in October and will also be offering good prices,” he said.

As for Kitchen Saver management director Nur Harfiza Hashim, she said the upcoming SIE would help to market her products to the public.

“We produce blended ingredients such as chillies, onion, garlic and ginger pastes. The pastes have a bit of coarse texture and are not too fine, with a shelf life of one year.

“We plan to bring all of the products to the expo so that the public could see the products manufactured by a Bumiputera company,” she said.
