Selangor Saring free health checks to run in three locations this weekend

SHAH ALAM, June 22 — The free health screening initiative organised by the state government will continue at three locations in Kuala Langat and Hulu Langat this weekend, from 9am to 5pm.

State executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud on Facebook said that the Selangor Saring programme will be held at Dataran Pantai Morib on Saturday (June 25), along with the Selangor Penyayang roadshow.

While on Sunday, the programme will be at Dewan Komuniti Kampung Batu 9, Cheras, and Dewan Komuniti Taman Pelangi, Semenyih.

The state government has set up RM3.4 million to ensure the success of Selangor Saring, which would benefit 39,000 people, particularly those with a family medical history, obesity, or an unhealthy lifestyle.

Physical screening, blood and urine tests, eye, cervical and breast cancer, occult or colorectal faecal blood testing, and prostate tests are all available during the programme until September 4.
