Strong response expected for job carnival with over 20,000 vacancies — Exco

PUCHONG, June 7 — The Mega Career Carnival taking place in Shah Alam this weekend is expected to be received enthusiastically with a target of over 9,000 attendees.

State executive councillor for young generation development Mohd Khairuddin Othman said he is confident many will come in order to take the opportunity of filling 20,000 job vacancies being offered by over 100 companies in various sectors.

Alhamdulillah the carnival preparations are moving smoothly as currently 102 employers have registered to join the programme, with a total of 115 employers expected to participate.

“Interestingly, this time state government agencies and local authorities are also joining in by offering various vacancies,” he said.

Mohd Khairuddin was speaking to the media at the event meeting with tahfiz students and Wakaf al-Quran contributions at Maahad Tahfiz An-Nur (Matan) in Taman Puchong Intan earlier today.

The Mega Career Carnival is scheduled to take place on June 11 and June 12 at the Shah Alam City Council Convention Centre.

The participating companies include Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor, Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, DHL Express, DRB Hicom Berhad, Giant Malaysia and Malayan Banking Berhad.

Other agencies are Media Prima Digital, Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (Proton), Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Shopee Malaysia, Sport Direct MST Sdn Bhd and Toyota Auto Body Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
