PETALING JAYA, July 20 — Catch the tabling of the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on Monday (July 25), which will reveal the five-year plan for the welfare of the people by the state administration.

State executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han said that the strategy, which will be unveiled on first day of the Second Meeting of the Fifth Term of the 14th Selangor State Legislative Assembly, was developed following input from numerous parties.

“The moment has come to implement the various programmes and initiatives that have been prepared. We must begin what is planned, taking into account the public views.

“RS-1 is a good effort. The public is urged to tune in to find out more about it on Monday,” said Ng when met after inspecting the sewer replacement project in Bandar Puchong Jaya, here, yesterday.

The RS-1 places a priority on meeting the socio-economic needs of the people, in which the state government had taken economic growth, well-being improvement, and social inclusion into account.

On July 7, Amirudin said that the five-year plan, described as a living document that can accept new challenges, was prepared in a comprehensive and engaging manner.

It also emphasises the need for sustainability to protect the environment as well as smart and effective government by including both the public and stakeholders.
