“Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari will table the state’s plan for a more dynamic and organised growth.

“Its contents are exciting as he will announce new development areas, including projects of global standard,” Teng told SelangorKini when met after distributing coupons for Hari Raya Aidiladha sacrificial rites (korban) to 21 suraus, at Madrasah Darissalmiah, here today.

The state administration will hold a symposium on RS-1 to provide information and get feedback before tabling it at the state assembly on July 25.

The First Selangor Plan Symposium, as it will be called, will be held on July 7 at the MBSA Convention Centre where Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari is expected to highlight the details of the plan.

The event will feature forums with participation from all state subsidiaries and agencies, such as Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), Invest Selangor Bhd, Worldwide Holdings and Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd.

On May 8, Amirudin said that based on the state government’s experience in managing Covid-19, it is crucial to formulate a comprehensive five-year plan to champion the people’s socio-economic agenda.

The Menteri Besar announced the state’s intention to launch the five-year plan (2022-2026) during the tabling of the 2022 Selangor Budget on Nov 26 last year.

He said the plan would focus on post-pandemic economic recovery to ensure that the state remains on the right track and strengthen its position as the centre of economic growth in Malaysia.
