Free health screening programme continues in several areas this week

SHAH ALAM, July 13 — The free health screening programme Selangor Saring will continue at five constituencies this weekend.

State executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said the constituencies include Port Klang, Klang, Pandamaran, Batang Kali, Taman Templer and Hulu Kelang.

In a poster shared on Siti Mariah’s Facebook page, the programme will be held on Saturday at Dewan Kompleks Sukan Pandamaran for the Port Klang and Pandamaran constituencies, and at Dewan Dato’ Ahmad Hamid for the Batang Kali constituencies.

As for Taman Templer it will be at Dewan Seri Siantan in Taman Selayang, and Dewan MPAJ AU2 in Taman Seri Keramat for the Hulu Kelang constituencies, both on Sunday.

The state government has allocated RM3.4 million for Selangor Saring, aiming to benefit up to 39,000 people especially those with a history of family ailments, obese individuals, and those leading unhealthy lifestyles.

The programme which runs until September 4 offers physical screening, blood and urine test, eye examination as well as various cancer screenings including breast cancer, colorectal and prostate.
