SHAH ALAM, July 19 — The public have been encouraged to participate in the Selangor Saring free health screening programme held throughout the state.

State executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said in the programme, participants will undergo health checks to detect various illnesses including eye problems like myopia, glaucoma and retina.

“You can undergo health screening via Selangor Saring without having to spend a lot. Do not fear or worry about going through the screening.

“This is one way to detect any illnesses in the early stages and also prevent it from worsening,” she said in a Facebook post.

Those interested in participating can register via the SELangkah app by downloading it on Play Store or Apps Store.

Selangor Saring will continue in Petaling on July 24 to help detect chronic illnesses among those who are most at risk, with a total allocation of RM1.5 million.
