Nearly RM3.5 mln for Kuala Langat entrepreneurs to expand business

SHAH ALAM, July 20 — A total of RM3.42 million has been disbursed by Yayasan Hijrah Selangor since January this year to help Kuala Langat entrepreneurs grow their businesses.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said 40 per cent of the traders who received funding from Hijrah Selangor have since managed to generate incomes of RM100,000 and above.

“The perfect ecosystem has been created (for them) to optimise their business revenues,” he said in a Facebook post.

Amirudin added the financing schemes offered by Hijrah Selangor include i-Bisnes, Zero to Hero, Niaga Darul Ehsan Go Digital, i-Lestari, i-Agro and i-Bermusim, which were created to help various types of businesses grow particularly during the post-Covid-19 period.

The Menteri Besar said improvements made to the financing schemes, which received a RM120 million allocation during the 2022 Selangor Budget, have been very well-received by entrepreneurs and has also made a positive impact.

“May this effort leave a positive impact on the people,” he added.
