Raja Muda Selangor delivers lecture on well-being of youth

SHAH ALAM, July 26 — His Highness the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj delivered a lecture on the well-being of youth at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) today.

Berita Harian reported Tengku Amir attendance at the programme organised by the Social Science Study Institute (IPSAS-UPM) in collaboration with the Selangor Youth Community (SAY) and the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilisation (ISTAC-IIUM).

UPM vice chancellor Professor Datuk Mohd Roslam Sulaiman said the series of lectures highlights figures from related fields to share their ideas and knowledge on youths’ wellbeing.

“The inaugural Raja Muda of Selangor’s lecture series has conveyed His Highness’ decree that he is committed to empowering the development of youth in Malaysia through their roles of being agents of change.

“The lecture also highlights Tengku Amir’s experience and contribution as SAY’s executive patron,” he said.

Mohd Roslan added that Tengku Amir Shah also launched the Belia Juara programme, aiming to provide platforms and starting grants for youth organisations and make changes to the local community.

“The Belia Juara grant is open to all individuals or youth organisations, not only in Selangor but also throughout the country and Asean,” he said.
