Zero tolerance for bribes among factors Selangor keeps progressing

SHAH ALAM, July 15 — The Selangor government under Pakatan Harapan (PH) has effectively created development and welfare programmes for its people following sound transparency principles that it adopts.

Selangor PKR Youth information chief Akmal Abdul Halim said the state government’s policy of not caving in to corruption and abuse of power among civil servants was one of the factors that contributed to the state’s financial condition becoming more solid and stable.

“The state’s wealth is shared with the people. The transparency of the administration could be seen via the various incentives and programmes for the Selangor people from 2008 until today.

“Congratulations to the Selangor administration under the leadership of Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari that emerged as a champion and was recognised by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in 2019,” he said when debating the motion at the PKR Youth Congress in conjunction with the 16th PKR National Congress, here today.

Akmal said Amirudin’s firm action in fighting corruption would draw investors to the state and ensure that he would continue to receive support from the people.

“Therefore, I would like to call on all PKR Youth members to keep fighting corruption at the grassroots level,” he said.

The National Congress, which was postponed last year due to the Covid-19 outbreak, is held for three days until Sunday at the Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC) in Shah Alam.
