Ampang needy students, NGOs receive aid worth RM80,000

AMPANG, Aug 20 — The Ampang Parliament constituency coordinator’s office has contributed RM80,000 to help the residents in the area.

Its coordinator Rodziah Ismail said a total of 25 individuals who are high school and university students from the low-income (B40) group have received donations of laptops.

“Our focus is on the distribution of laptops based on the high number of applications for it that we received. We understand that the equipment is essential for students.

“Therefore, today (August 19) 25 students of various races receive laptops donated by the constituency coordinator’s office and other parties,” she said during the handover ceremony at the Ukay Perdana Mosque here.

Three non-governmental organisations (NGOs) including Ukay Perdana Mosque, Ukay Perdana Football Club and Sri Maha Nageswari Kaliamman Temple, also received donations during the ceremony.

Two students, Muhammad Amirul Adiel Daniel Zulkipli and Nur Ain Ezette Mohd Redzuan also received aid to further their studies at Kolej Matrikulasi Kejuruteraan Kedah and Pennsylvania State University, USA.
