Road closure in Subang Jaya for drainage upgrade works  — MBSJ

SHAH ALAM, Aug 22 — Several roads have been closed for the drainage system upgrade works at Jalan SS19/7 in Subang Jaya, said the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ).

Its Corporate and Strategic Management Department deputy director Azfarizal Abdul Rashid said the works are carried out to address the flood issue in the areas near Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Lick Hung and the Abu Bakar As-Siddiq Moqsue.

He said the road closures will be done in two phases in which the first phase involves a 80-metre route from Restoran Choy Kee and Literasi Tuition Centre, which had begun from August 12 until September 12.

The second phase will see the road closure from behind Klinik Dr Rosli to the Jalan SS19/7 and SS19/7A junction starting September 13 until October 13.

“MBSJ had provided signages, announcement notices and plastic barriers at the said locations to ease the traffic.

“The efforts are to assist road users in the temporary traffic management system and they are advised to use alternative roads at Jalan SS19/2,” he said in a statement.

Azfarizal added that the roads are expected to be reopen on October 27 once the drainage upgrading works are completed.
