Choose Harapan to govern the country — Amirudin

GOMBAK, Nov 11 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Keadilan) vice-president Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has asked voters to give Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) a chance to govern the country by giving their mandate in the 15th general election (GE15).

The Selangor Harapan chairman said that the country’s future should not be jeopardised by choosing Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Barisan Nasional (BN) as the two coalitions had proven to fail as a government.

Amirudin, who is Harapan’s candidate for the Gombak parliamentary seat, said the coalition has nominated its president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as its prime minister of choice as he has the credibility to lead the country during these challenging times.

“PN has nominated Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and for BN, either Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid or Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob. These are the people who have proven to have failed in governing the country.

“The incumbent Gombak MP Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali is also part of the failed government, we (have) lost many lives and some people had to raise the white flags to get help under their administration,” he said in a ceramah at Kampung Changkat Kiri, here last night.

Amirudin said he would assist to rearrange the education system should he be elected to represent the constituency.

He said regular changes related to the educational system made by the Education Ministry have affected many students.

“This is not only about the school’s building but more about the content and its erratic principles. First, they want to implement high-level thinking skills, then they introduce the classroom assessment.

“I will raise this issue and would try to help if selected as the MP,” he added.

Amirudin was announced as the second candidate for the Gombak parliamentary seat, facing off against four other contenders.
