KUALA LANGAT, Nov 9 — The Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) candidate for the Kuala Langat parliamentary seat has vowed to upgrade healthcare services in Banting Hospital as well as public medical centres in the area should he be elected in the upcoming 15th general election (GE15).

G. Manivanan said those were among six of Harapan’s offers for Kuala Langat folks to ensure they would receive inclusive services by prioritising the elderly, children, persons with disabilities and specialist-referred cases.

“Apart from that, I will also bring in a comprehensive policy to reduce congestion in Kuala Langat thus ensuring the infrastructure facilities are at a satisfying level,” he said.

Themed ‘Maruah Kuala Langat’ (The Dignity of Kuala Langat), the manifesto also addressed an overall flood mitigation plan and the upgrading of the drainage and flood warning systems.

Manivanan stated that he would also ensure that primary and secondary school students have a conducive learning and teaching environment for the sake of future generations.

He also announced the formation of Kelab Kasih Wanita Kuala Langat to ensure women’s protection.

“Apart from that, I will also propose the development of a mini sports complex and motorcycle racing track to empower the talent among young locals,” he added.

Manivanan will go against Selangor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi who will be contesting under the Perikatan Nasional ticket in the six-cornered fight next week.
