Water fully restored to 472 affected areas at 12am — Air Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Dec 27 — The water supply recovery in the affected areas has been fully restored for all 472 areas as of 12am today, says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).

“The water supply has been fully restored for all 472 areas in five Air Selangor regions, namely Petaling, Hulu Langat, Sepang, Putrajaya and Kuala Langat,” said the company in a Facebook post.

Air Selangor also expresses their thanks to the consumers for their patience and cooperation during the unprecedented water supply disruption.

On Saturday (December 24), Air Selangor announced that the Sungai Semenyih and Bukit Tampoi water treatment plants were temporarily shut down following an odour pollution incident at Jenderam Hilir Raw Water Pump Station.

A total of 472 areas in five Selangor regions were affected by the unscheduled water supply disruptions starting namely in Petaling (172 areas), Hulu Langat (54 areas), Sepang (196 areas), Putrajaya (23 areas) and Kuala Langat (27 areas).
