KDNKA director heads list of police award recipients

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 — The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today conferred the Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis (PGPP) award on Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department (KDNKA) director Datuk Seri Hazani Ghazali.

Hazani heads the list of 250 award recipients at the investiture of the police gallantry awards and medals for 2022 held at the Balairong Seri, Istana Negara.

His Majesty also conferred the PGPP awards to Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (JSJK) director, Datuk Seri Mohd Kamarudin Md Din, and Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation Department (JPST) director, Datuk Seri Mat Kasim Karim.

Also gracing the ceremony was the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

At the ceremony, Al-Sultan Abdullah also conferred the Darjah Panglima Setia Pasukan Polis to 46 recipients; Pahlawan Pasukan Polis (62 recipients); Kesatria Pasukan Polis (five recipients); Bentara Pasukan Polis (133 recipients) and Pingat Keberanian Polis (one recipient).

The awards and medals were conferred to qualified police officers and personnel of other ranks for their contributions and sacrifices.

Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani and Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
