Carsome Academy welcomes state scholarship, calls youth to take opportunity

KLANG, March 14 — The Carsome Academy welcomes the state government initiative to provide Technical and Vocational Training Course (TVET) scholarships to students pursuing their studies at the institution.

Carsome co-founder and director Teoh Jiun Ee said this shows that the state government has trusted it in delivering TVET training.

“Thank you for the scholarship totalling of RM250,000 to enable eligible students who were born and are living in Selangor to receive this incentive.

“Therefore, we welcome the children of Selangor who wants to continue their studies at the academy to immediately apply through the Carsome Academy website at carsomeacademy.my/scholarship_2023/

“Apart from those aged 18 to 40, applicants should also have been accepted are in the process of applying for a full-time Level 3 Malaysian Certificate of Skills (SKM) course at the Carsome Academy,” he said during the launch of the Selangor TVET Scholarship for Carsome Academy students at Carsome Certified Lab, Bandar Bukit Raja, here yesterday.

The event was officiated by state executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han.

Besides that, Teoh said Carsome Academy will be introducing a virtual learning method (VR) with the use of the latest technology.

He said the introduction of the new system is in line with the growing rate of electric vehicles and that the automotive industry needs technicians ready in the field.

“Therefore, to strengthen the ecosystem, Carsome Academy is committed to developing a highly skilled generation of automotive technicians to drive the industry forward.

“VR has the potential to change the way of learning and teaching, offering interactive experiences that enhance students’ engagement, motivation and understanding of complex concepts,” he said.

Students of Carsome Academy will be exposed to three months of theory classes including lectures, VR modules and actual vehicle inspections, as well as nine months of practical sessions.
