Aidilfitri mega affordable sale expected to record RM1.3 mln sales

SHAH ALAM, April 17 — The Jualan Mega Ehsan Aidilfitri programme, which began on Saturday until April 20, is expected to record a sales value of up to RM1.3 million.

Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) senior marketing manager Mohd Fazir Abdul Latif said the initiative includes a total subsidy of RM380,000 and offers a 30 per cent discount for the goods offered at the programme.

“This week, we’re bringing something different with more affordable items and an extended sale time.

“Due to the positive response from the public, we anticipate collecting a sales value of RM1.3 million,” said Mohd Fazir at Pasar Muhibbah in Setia Alam, here yesterday.

The same programme was also held at Dataran Niaga Siantan, Selayang Mutiara, and the Pandan Jaya night market site, from 8am to 8pm.

While at the Coffee Factory, Banting; At-Taqwa Mosque, Cheras City Park; Arena Square, Bukit Kapar; Fama Sabak Bernam operation centre, and Al-Falah Mosque Taman Tun Teja, Rawang, the programme was held from 7am to 12 noon.

The affordable sale programme, which is part of the state government’s initiative, offers whole standard chickens priced at RM10 each, fresh solid beef at RM10 a pack, chicken eggs at RM10 a tray, 5 kg cooking oil at RM25 and 5 kg packs of rice at RM10 each.
