DBKL to hold engagement sessions for PSKL2040 draft final amendment report

KUALA LUMPUR, April 12 — Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will hold engagement sessions with the public and stakeholders for its final amendment report of the Kuala Lumpur Structure Plan 2040 (PSKL2040) draft.

DBKL executive director (Planning) Datuk Sulaiman Mohamed said this is in line with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s statement on the postponement of the gazetting of PSKL2040 until May 31.

He said the engagement sessions aim to notify the public of the amendments made to the plan based on public views received, the recommendations of the Public Hearing Committee (JKPPA), coordination of government current policies and the views of the Federal Territories Planning Advisory Board (LPPWP).

“The date, time and venue of the engagement sessions will be informed to the public and stakeholders soon,” he said in a statement last night.

The public can get the final amendment report on the PSKL2040 via DBKL’s official website at https://www.dbkl.gov.my from Thursday (April 13).

Anwar said recently that the gazetting of PSKL2040 will be postponed to May 31 to allow DBKL sufficient time to hold further engagement sessions with stakeholders to explain and get appropriate feedback on the plan.
