ISP to feature in state govt Aidilfitri open houses

SHAH ALAM, April 24 — The upcoming Jelajah Kita Selangor Aidilfitri programme, which will visit all nine districts in the state, will also feature the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang (ISP) plan for visitors.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the programme, which includes a Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House and Rewang Sekampung, is meant for the benefit of all Selangor citizens.

InsyaAllah, the state government will continue the tradition that was inaugurated last year, with the Selangor State Government Aidilfitri Open House in all nine state districts.

“Everyone is invited to attend and enliven the Aidilfitri celebrations this year,” he said in a Facebook post today.

Visitors to Jelajah Kita Selangor Aidilfitri will see ISP’s various initiatives promoted, featuring 10 main initiatives including the Iltizam Selangor Sihat (ISS), the Heart Treatment scheme, the Selangor Health Aid (BSS), and the Selangor Saring free health screening programme.

Noting that last year’s series of open houses recorded between 150,000 to 200,000 visitors overall, Amirudin said the programme optimises the organisation costs, and is more effective in bringing festive cheer to Selangor’s residents instead of having everybody come to one central location.

“With cooperation from the local authorities as the main implementers, as well as the support of the district offices and district government agencies/departments, Jelajah Kita Selangor Aidilfitri will also help traders and food entrepreneurs in each district make the open houses more exciting.

“See you all in your districts!” he said.

The programme will kick off on Friday, April 28, in Sepang, and conclude in Gombak on Sunday, May 14, which Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to attend.
