KLANG, April 30 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari took the opportunity to showcase his ketupat weaving skills, during the preparations for the Jelajah Kita Selangor Aidilfitri open house programme in Klang, earlier today.

Taking over a minute to prepare the ketupat casing, his handiwork was observed by the residents who were working together to prepare food, at Dewan Taman Seri Kerayong in Kapar.

Amirudin also made lemang by stuffing glutinous rice in bamboo containers, as well as making the traditional Javanese dish lontong.

Accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad, the Menteri Besar also presided over the ritual slaughter of a cow, which will be used for tonight’s meal.
